lucas today part 2

after the early set back of nails, we eventually produced 104 x 9ft 6x2 oak beams/rails,,,,theres some more oak not pictured,

a good day in the rain,,and a couple of m3 of firewood in the offcuts,,,

(there was some rot in the butts but plenty of good stable oak):thumbup:

Good to meet you again Clive and see you impressive set up.

Those 4th diam logs are what the Lucas mill likes best but as we found it hates nails.

I put the winches at opposed corners as the stays work better in compression pushing into the ground especially as we were on concrete and they were only screwed to a couple of big rings.
