yeh would be a shame but being a sparsholt student meself i think it could be realy cool, weev got some kick ass trees to climb down at sparsholt studd.

Indeed, us lot at Moreton Morrel would be up for this. And considering that area used to be my home territory it would be interesting to see who is doing arb there.

The ISA are definitely moving their Student Tree Climbing Comp to a new location this year I think it's taking place in May and I've heard another rumour it could be at Merrist Wood this time!?!?!?

The Celebration of Trees show is still happening on Friday 24th and Saturday 25th April at Capel Manor College in Enfield. There's a new climbing event taking place there called Capel's Pro-Climb Challenge for those working in the industry to enter. It's being updated at the mo but http://www.capel.ac.uk/trees will have info on it all.

I thought i read somewhere that it was at Sparsholt too. May be it should travel each year around the country. Let some of you Southern softies get a taste of real rain! Not tthat it would bother me because i will watch with an umbrella and a cup of tea.

The Student TCC are planned to be run at Merrist Wood College as part of their open day in May. All students out there please ask your colleges about the comp and badger them to sort out team selections and entry forms all this will be with them by the end of the month.

Please bear with the ISA on this we are all volunteers and have our own work loads and lifes to run as well as the TCC.

Cheers Alex

PS half truths and muddled rumours are not very usful, any question email the chapter and ask. In the current climate we are having a hard job getting any commitments from sponsors. These rumours do not and are not helping.

Please please help me out here guys.

cheers Alex
