They were made for a traveling play. They commisioned me to do the faces and hands so that they could dress them to match the actor and actress in the play. The rest of the carving is just a rough shape of a body. The play begins and ends with the carvings and they come to life during the play. It is based on a chidrens book. The play was a great success and they plan to reuse them in following years.
