how many 45 litre pots would expect per person per day including an oblique post and mulch mat, excess soil removed from site.

 

I'm working on 8 per day as a starting point

Thanks HCR - the main thing is that I'm not waaaaaay off.

 

It will all be done by hand unfortunately - unless I can find someone local to me with a tracked machine and a large auger

 

there is 120 of this size to be dug.

I reccon with one digging and one planting, you should get two - three an hour. Swapping every hour will help to break the monotomy.

I did 21 16-18cm stem girth rootballs myself in a day in clay staked and tied, wouldn't of done many the next day! they were probably 100 ltr rootball volume.

 

Set up a system so it flows and you can vary work tasks, if possible get plants in position before the day you plant then less heavy lifting on the day.
