Are these any good? May get the chance on a rebuilt saw with one of these, is it worth the risk?

cheers,

Si

Never heard of them and google only shows up GHS doing kits for TS400s

I recommend Meteor then Episan and then Golf. If the saw has value and Meteor or Episan are not available, I would go OEM!

I have never had an issue with Meteor and is the piston of choice for me as it is 1/3rd of the OEM price and not far off the same quality!

Just fiished off the reassembly of a 240 for a friend with a War Tec p&c. Original piston was scored from incorrect fuel, saw is 2006 and had very light domestic use and had no other problems at time of piston damage.

Was a straight forward remove and replace. Now finished the compression is crap, whether the piston is under sized or what it is I have no idea, although it does run smoothly....

I wouldn't stake my life on one personally.

[i've suggested to him that cleaning up the original pot, fitting a Meteor piston & OEM rings is probably the best solution.....]

The Meteor pistons have Caber rings - very good quality and no need to replace them with OEM ones:thumbup:
