Does this saw use a throttle cable?

 

I've been playing around with a DCS5000 which I guess must be very similar, and so far it's absolutely aces! I'm not absolutely convinced that using a throttle cable isn't unnecessary over-engineering though...

 

Build is bonkers good.

 

Yeah the 5000s seem very sweet; supposedly the newer 5031 has more under the bonnet but my trial of one didn't prove that; my 5105 definately ate it good.

hello have you had any dealings with the ps7900 /ps7901 just wondered if it was worth importing on or get a makita dcs7901 both saw saws look a good power to weight ratio

lots of 7901 lovers on here; personally I don't like it; two warranty claims was enough. I'll bet the PS7900 runs better too.

just been cutting some windblown ash the dolmar 5105 was cutting like a wasp on speed absolute dream then i had the sachs dolmar 123 for the bigger branches and smaller trunk

and the 166 come out of hibernation for the main trunk :thumbup:
