Horizontal splitter or processor ?

I am interested to hear peoples views on big horizontal splitter as i don't know weather to get a big horizontal or a processor.

 

Things like.

 

True output.

 

How much waste do they create when splitting.

 

Are they been used in commercial operations in the uk .

if you want too splitt wood quick get a processor with conveyor belt,but its big money££££.some second hand ones on ebay,have a look on youtube to see wot suits your operation.

Ive been thinking about this for a while ive put up with a splitter but now were doing quite a lot of timber between 160 180 t. I hire a processor in so know what that's capable of. I just want to hear from people that have had 30t + splitters. Thanks:001_smile:

HI MATE is the 30t + splitter going to be use for large timber jon :thumbup:

HI MATE you need a posch 30t + off jas p wilson there well made or just a 30t posh will do the job how many tons have you got to do jon :thumbup:

 

I am hoping to double what we do this year so around 350 t. Its panning out to be a good year all ready and winter has not started yet. I want to start trying to shift softwood next year as ive had a few enquiring about it :thumbup:

Hi Jon what sort of length timber will these go up to?? I'm looking into doing alot more billets next season and I'm just looking arount at moment to see whats out there.

HI PLING billets 4ft on a 30t small ive seen 3mt long on a trailer but a 30t 4ft posh cost £8k so a 3mt must be £20k :lol:jon :thumbup:
