I'll have to have a word with another member on here to see if he can get more pics as its I'm his site and I won't be that way on again for a while. I did try to get one off the tree to brake it open as i dint have a knife with me. I couldn't even kick it off if that helps?

The obvious would be Perenniporia due to host, location, form & colour of surface & pore layer, but additional info is always advisable to narrow down the Id.

.

agree here with David, Perenniporia 99% likely but a section would reveal the potential for an alternative ident that of rigidiporus ulmarius, though exceedingly unlikely.:thumbup1:

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.

See you inside.
