NZ has lots of grevelroads wich are easy to drive with a 2wd ;-)

We drove some subaru's over there for the DOC in Turangi where I did an internship way back in '97

And for the offroad parts we had a toyo hilux ute.

 

Great country with some nice trees, want to visit it again in the future.
