Anyone had experience or know a good one, so many for sale now it just makes it more complicated and the price can be anything from around £70 at Asda to over £300 online, with loads around the middle make.

All I want really is to fix to a tree and capture animals day & night, but could be used for security too (and wired up to a gun)

So has anyone got one, would they recommend a make or size :confused1:

I've been using some Reconyx Hc 500 for deer spotting. They are easily fixed to trees and a good protective metal case can be bought for them (helps with the inquisitive that think they can help themselves). Easily downloaded photos with date and time stamp, use SD cards and AA batteries.

They do take reasonable shots (series of 3 each time it's triggered) at night but range is a bit limited.

Make sure you get the gsm one that sends you a text and also the invisible Infra red spectrum one. On earlier ones the flash used part of the IR spectrum that was visible to the human eye which can give away their position
