Bit confused

Ok so come accros this vid and its confused me a little so hope some sharp eyed arbs can help.

 

It's a blooper video and he is cutting down. Now first is he cutting the gob and backcut wrong side of tree? Or is it just me. As he cuts it but pulling the wrong way. Look at the quad.

 

The second is about the quad and the line. If you look carefully the pulling line goes past the tree he is cutting and looks like its attached to the next tree along? Have I seen this right or are my eyes getting old

Can't see any vid but are you sure he's not got a snatch block in the other tree to redirect the pull?

Yep, going with snatch block on tree behind to fell it up hill but cut through his hinge
