You don't need to mate! The pinto works fine just clip onto the becket!:thumbup1:

I know what your saying , but i tried that a couple of days ago and the VT was just bunching up and not advancing properly . At waist height it works fine , i do use it like that alot . Thats how i thought the HC might align it better .

BTW , are you not in Canada yet ? What has a man gotta do :confused1::biggrin:

Don't see why not, but it wouldn't be CE then, so why not just make something cheaper up and leave your lanyard as it is?

I've done similar with a cut length of Aeris I had after an embarrassing choice of climbing line routing....

Its not CE anyway WW i changed the knot to a VT as i was unhappy at the Distel taking too long to lock . A separate system may be the way to go :001_smile:

PS .. I just noticed your Hi-vis bib last night !! :laugh1::laugh1:

I find its todo with how the crabs orientated mine bunches up on my side strop if the crabs the wrong way round!!

There's a guy on here who climbs on a pinto all the time, I can't remember his name though! :001_huh: hitch climber will probs work better though!

Not made it yet!:confused1: I've been speaking with the guy who posted on here the other week from Alberta Arborist so I'm starting going through the process, how are you getting on?

If you changed the pulley to a HC it would still be CE as the HC is CE'd and I doubt because you have changed the knot it would make a difference either mate, after all you would have to change the cord on it at some point so you re- tying either a vt or a distal would not change a thing about the system, me personally would like to see them giving the choice when buying the lanyard to have either HC or Pinto pulley.....

I see no reason why you can't use it as a short secondary work line....:thumbup1:

Yes , at the price it would be good to have the choice to convert back and forth if required . Thanks for the reply :001_smile:

Ah, got you.... What length lanyard do you have, a 10m? They're lovely looking things, I do fancy the 7m version.... maybe on the christmas list...! :biggrin:

And I'm with Adam on the CE bit, I thought it was just the components and the splices which were certified, so long as you use the same cord in a closed hitch it would still be certified, no matter what knot you used? :001_huh:

And yes, I love my hi-vis.. a mate of mine is a lighting director and he did dancing on ice, he pinched a hi vis for me, he knew I'd love the irony as I wobble round up a tree.... I look more like bambi on ice most of the time... :blushing::001_tongue:
