the arb apprenticeship can range from 6 to 18 months you can complete it in 6 if you ace everything and do in work assesments, but i doubt that will happen with any of us, we are in college for a year, then have 6 months at work finishing up our assesments, we only get 30/31 on our course, but we do get a nvq level 2 in arb which has a aerial rescue qualification, im looking to get my employer to pay for my 38 and 39 once ive finished the course, its a good course, but could do with 38 and 39 instead of pa1 and pa6.

btw what do you usually wear at college? cos i cant indentify a lot of you NC's by outfit lol

Sounds good, shame about cs38/9. but better than NC/ND, no tickets included!

jeans and trainers in the classroom

chainsaw boots trousers ect when we're on a practical (only fridays at the moment)

apologies for my inactivity on this thread... busy past couple days with my voulenteer job. i've yet to contact jarnii; i'll phone him this weekend....

....epping forest sounds like a good location. which bit of it? it's kind of big! some nice big trees in hampsted heath as well, not so good for parking but accessible by public transport.

I hate to be the party pooper (or jobsworth), but I very much doubt you will get any kind of permission to do rec climbs at either of these sites.

And the constabularies just love to justify their existence by hastling poor unsuspecting souls. :sneaky2:

I'd say go for epping forest its big enough to find a spot out of site i'd guess, besides i've climbed some trees in public places most people don't bat an eyelid neither do the local police, they have other things to do.

I go to capel, I don't think they'd let anyone climb on site without supervision. Health and safety...

I'd love to have a fun climb with some people, i've just bought climbing gear, no cs38 yet, I'm competant but not fast! Live just north of london too

charlie.

Just thought I'd inform you that Dionysus has been wandering around Capel shouting into random classrooms and saying to random groups of people "Where's Charlie? Are any of you Charlie?" ... admittedly I did ask a random person if they either were Charlie or knew him, but in a less embarassing manner :001_tongue:

Thought you might like to know in case people ask you weird questions! I think he's making you famous :001_cool:
