Its got 4 levers, left to right, blade, winch and forward and reverse, very simple! ten ton hercules winch, its been very well looked after, Whats the skidding work like around your area?

Oh yes! there's a 380 up the road and thats got a detroit engine with a hell of a noise in it! The only problem i see is that the parts are going to be expensive! I also need to paint it properly, the cab is green and the rest is red! not good! Do you do much skidding chris?

If it was me, I'd not worry too much about painting it - it's a forestry tractor that's going to get brayed to hell. I'm surprised it's got any paint left at all

Don't do half as much skidding a used to, used to do a lot of work on bank sides but less so now. Also, sold the County a few years ago and tend to use much smaller machinery now too, where we can quite often shortwood from stump. Did have a small 100 tonne job a few weeks back that was all to winch up hill though. We did that with a 30hp landini and 3t igland.

Its a different story here with rocks, hillsides and boggy places! To be honest, I'm a saving up money to buy a mediocre forwarder not too expensive and not a shed! I'm looking everywhere for timber patches either softwood or hardwood from 300 tonne to couple of thousand! Very hard to come by these days!
