I'm wondering if any of you use a iveco daily for the job? My company has two defender 130's and this week I have just bought a iveco daily. The reason I bought it is because its a 5200GVW which allows you to legally carry 2550KG and the train weight is 8700KG which also allows you to tow 3500kg when fully loaded. Can you drive a iveco daily on a normal driving licence? or do you need C & E on your licence?

And also someone as mentioned to me that as a company I would need a operators licence.

Would be grateful for any help

Regards Steve

Thought there was a cap at 8200kg gtw with c+e

or something about the weights makes me think....

you need catagory c to drive it for starters and an operators license, also a tacho if working over X amount of miles from base, and regular vehicle checkups.

You would need a c1 licence, or c1+e for loaded and trailer, you might have c1 with grand father rights depending when you passed you driving test, c1+e grandfather licence limited to 8250kgs.

If you going to pay out for c1+e licence your just as well doing c+e.

You would need an operators licence as gvw is over 3500kgs.
