Full time, junior climber position in Devon

East Devon Tree Care have a position available for a full time, junior climber/ground worker. We are a small, professional and busy AAAC based in Exmouth, Devon. We undertake a variety of tree work for Local Authorities, multiple large Estates and domestic customers. We are regularly involved in pruning and removing large trees throughout the county. We’re a full time tree surgery outfit, we don’t do any forestry, landscaping, grounds maintenance or firewood.

 

We are looking for a junior climber/grounds man to join our busy team on a temporary full time, PAYE basis. This would suit a recent college leaver or someone who already has some industry experience and would like the opportunity to broaden their horizons. Unfortunately we are not able to consider applications without any existing industry experience.

 

Ideally we could use someone who is already confident climbing and moving around in a tree but perhaps still needs some guidance with pruning, lowering and working in large trees. You will be working with an experienced team and will be encouraged to develop your climbing and ground skills with the support of other experienced team members. You will need to already have CS units up to 39, have your own transport to reach either our rural yard or be able to get to Exmouth in the morning to arrange a shared lift to the yard.

 

We provide all PPE, climbing equipment, training, paid bank holidays and further 20 days paid holiday. We are offering a starting salary of £15,500 to £16,000 pa, plus overtime. This salary will rise with increased experience and responsibilities.
