Found this on a local gardening firms Facebook page.

 

Intrigued, i sent him a question re insurance for tree work.

 

His reply was that if he did "mess up" i could claim on my house insurance !!!!!

 

Question is...do i say somthing on the site, or would it be seen as me being selfish trying to bad mouth potential competition

personally i would forward it on to your local HSE inspector ! what he is doing is selfish No insurance = no comeback and i would assume he has no certs when it comes to tree work in which case if he did have an accident the homeowner would/could be the one taking the flack from HSE . this is what the decent firms are trying to compete with and its fair to say not on a level playing field !!

Ditto above, send it to the HSE. It is un-professional workmanship like this that de-values the service and makes life more difficult for the law-abiding rest of us.

 

No helmet, no harness and what looks like steel toe-cap shoes!

Wasnt there a case recently where a similar photo was sent to the HSE and he was fined about £6k im sure it was on here and in the papers
