That's lovely. know it's a bit rarer but shame it's not an actual 242.

 

Were the 246 as much of a screamer as the 242 or were they toned down a bit?

 

Got the owners manuals for both; 242 rpm was 15,500; 246 wasn't! Will go check it out.

 

edit - manuals must be in loft so here:

Model Profile: 246

 

So 246 was 14,500. Stilll quite nippy!

There's already a 242G, an old grey top 42, a blown up 42 special and a 181SE that's nearly as old as me in the collection. Not to mention all the mid 2000's stuff too. I think the appetite's already been fed :blushing:

 

That 246 does look quite appealing though :biggrin:

if it was a 242xp in that condition i would have bought it by now:thumbup:

 

just picked this up for £149.00

2001 saw with 1 owner from new,hardly used,i was very pleased and it starts and runs like a dream
