Let me know how you get on, Chris. I make quite a few adzes from hammers but rarely get any feedback on how they could be improved.

One thing I did wonder about but didn't occur to me til after, was whether it's possible to form the ball end of the hammer into a small axe like edge for some finer trimming and getting two tools out of one?

What kind of finish does it leave?

 

 

Sorry :blushing: only just seen this thread again.

 

 

It's not a great finish more just for material removal really...
