Limescale

Coke is marvellous stuff for all sorts of jobs. Hadn't heard of de-scaling, but have often used to it free rusted bolts, stuck injectors and so on. It will dissolve teeth and meat if they are left in a glass of it too.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Just trying to think of an instance of when you'd want to do that now.......

aye used to clean up old pennies that way as a child it work brings them up brand new

Coca cola hasn't worked either :confused1:

 

I think what's happening here is you southerners are under estimating how tough northern limescale is, everything up north is hard as nails.

 

Seriously though, what it is is there is very very little limescale in our water so it has built up a really thin layer over about three years of being constantly boiling ontop of the stove, it's probably only half a mil thick if that but is solid and won't move.

 

Me try shop remedy me thinks next, I;ll try that "Bang" and the dirt is gone stuff :001_tongue: on telly
