Nice timing

Two weeks before I am due to get my new job-provided company pick-up, my Mazda breaks a rear spring and manages to take a chunk out of the shock absorber too. Milners are out of stock of the kit I want so I am on the look out for a pair of springs for a 2000 4x4 B2500 or Ford Ranger. Already got the search going on Ebay but wondered if anybody on here had any leads for me? And Spike, yes, I know you told me they were fragile.

Midland road springs did me a good price on a set for my navara.

Managed to pick full spring kits up from ks international for £60 + VAT per side. Excellent service, delivered the next day. Guess that's Saturday's job sorted then.

Shame the quality didn't match the service. First side went on ok (eventually) but second kit had 2 duff parts in it. Firstly, the front pin wouldn't line up with the holes for the fixing bolts so I had to re-use the old one. Worse than that, the shackle on the back mount wouldn't tighten up so either the nut or the bolt has a stripped thread.

Yes mate, just in time for the estate's TD5 to lunch an engine due to cam belt failure. At least I don't have to pay for that one.
