Cypress conifers dying?

An associate has been in touch with F.R. Ref. Phytophora.sp. on conifer in warwickshire.. These are very similiar features... I wouldnt discount it just yet. Contact forest research see what they say.. Symptoms seem to have been perfect for the spread/ occurance of it during spring and early summer

 

Thats what I was thinking, they look like the ones in the photos on the Fr website

When FR were contacted apparenetly they were quite dismissive, but if i got the right end of the stick, i think its been confirmed, much to all involveds bemusement.... Which doesnt bode well.

No..I remember a few years back when they were doing a big research project on pseudomonas, they got in contact with someone I know asking loads of questions and could they look at their trees. As soon as he did they were rather aloof and didn't seem interested anymore
