Growing Eucalyptus for firewood.

What's wrong with Birch? A thinning job we did a few months back involved working in a stand of self seeded birch 8 years old, some of which were 30ft tall. Rarely a significant branch, and perfect for a machine like this:

I agree, birch is definitely underated - we ended up with several hundred tonne to fell last year and it was nice stuff to handle and the brash rots away to nothing in no time. Always surprises me how many people turn their nose up at it.
