buying a MEWP and hiring it out

Ok, so I have the chance to buy a 10m height mobile MEWP. I know thats not too high, but has anyone out there have experience in hiring their MEWP to painters, builders etc. Also, what are the H&S regulations regarding it's hire? I live in a pretty isolated area, with nobody else having a MEWP of any size. Thought it might get a bit of use with the tree work, but also hiring as a bit of a side line. Comments please.

For a 10m the headache of keeping it maintained, lolered and insured for hiring out might not be worth it. Small mewps are easily hired from any hire shop so you may get very few hires.

The only way I would go is down the specialist side of mewp hire, like tracked and limited access mewps with operator.

Hired out tackle without operator will get abused / damaged or even stolen, people just don't look after tackle that they haven't had to fork out lots of money for.

appreciate your comments. I live at least 25 miles from nearest hire shop that may have a MEWP. The one i'm looking at will go through 2"7 inch doorway. I tend to agree about hiring out with operator only. I would not let anyone else use my chipper or grinder. But like you said, may not be worth it.
