Agricultural Occupancy condition

Hi, yes, a happy ending for us but it took a bot of time.

the house had been built 2-3 years before we bought it for a farmers son, hence the 'Agricultural tie', and the farm went bankcrupt and house re-possessed. We bought it from the people handling the insolvency.

The solicitor is one that advertises in the farmers weekly every week, and specialises in Agricultural Tie removal, that is all they have done for years, so know all there is to know. Cost us 2-3K but put so much on value of house to get it lifted was well worth it.

By the way, I had had a nursery (growing trees, and had grew some christmas trees,) but I think it was a 5 year uncontested period of time that enabled us to get the tie lifted and that was after nursery closed etc.
