Ryobi Stihl compatable??

I got it any way and if you cut off the notch off the plastic sleeve on the stihl shaft it fits and works perfectly.

Its the same square drive shaft and same diameter round shaft. If you are bothered about the plastic notch you can buy another for about three quid.

Probably not what Stihl want to hear but its a seemingly good cheap back unit.

The ryobi trimmer head itself is pretty pants, but with the stihl head its mint. :001_smile:

That's interesting and maybe useful to know. Thanks for the update. The plastic end caps of the Stihl kombi system shafts are crap anyway and do nothing to stop the tool twisting. The plastic notch that holds them in just gets worn and the plastic bit ends up twisting round and round.
