price for splitting a cube of logs

A palax combi doing 4-5 bags per hour on small stuff , so when i get into the good going i should manage 5-6 cube per hour

Just wondering if this was a good price as i have around 300 tonnes to do for him

 

Thats impressive, double manning with one feeding a prepping and the other sawing and splitting the best it gets is 2 cubes an hour. I can only assume you are splitting uniformly sized uniformly straight softwood to get even 4 cubes an hour.

No all crap thinings biggest about 10" 4ft long so they can lift , some of the timber was down to 2" but was asked to mix in the bags

A lot of time was wasted setting the bags up under the conveyor , so i have made some tressels and a shoot to drop into the bag , should speed it up a bit
