Hey Russ,

That would be cool bro-pretty sure we could get a heap of others to join in for it-Onelab, BenR, and Ewan to name a few. Im going to be in Canberra next week for 2 weeks contracting and then possible toowoomba after that for a month-when is the queensland camp?

Toowoomba for a month? You poor bugger, I lived there for a few months back in the day. Loads of big camphor laurels though - fun to climb:001_smile:

Hey guys.Really interested in this thread as im really wanting to have a go at splicing.

 

Q1, is it as hard as im thinking it is

Q2, roughly how long does a splice take

Q3, for you Melbourne lot. How is the tree scene in there as im off to work there in september.

It depends who you are working for mate and how involved you want to get into the scene as there is a big one here in Melbourne a lot of important people and events take place here it's pretty cool. Work is good a lot of large tree's and massive robes if you want it an open mind is needed when you first stray as they do some things different here and it's worth getting good with a throwline , footlocking and Srt it will help a lot

Awsome. Thanks for the reply. Im really into my srt at the mo, cant seem to get my mind off how to try and improve my setup so hopefully thats one tick off your list. Ill be working for ArborCo, i went over and met with david(manager).Hes a sound bloke and he showed me around the yard and i got a great feel for the place. The botanacal gardens were amazing. Ill be based down in the peninsula so il be just out of the city. :thumbup1:
