Hi all

 

I am thinking about moving on with the times and updating to using a dmm hitch climber. My question is is there much difference between the normal DMM hitch climber and the Dmm rapide hitch climber?

No, not if its just used for a hitch advance in climbing.

 

Both are rated high enough for light rigging and then the rapide would then be an advantage.

I have a Rapide.... don't notice any difference. Looks smart though!

Well theres not to much difference in price so i reckon the rapide could be on its way.

i find the standard bushings start to squeak on the hc but not on the bearings in the rapide..thats enough for me

drews right, the squeakyness does get old real quick. I didnt know that the rapids didnt squeak so thats strait on my wishlist.

definitely don't want squeaky gear. another question the place im ordering from doesn't supply the Ocean polyester 10mm eye to eye but do supply the 75cm Stein Copious Cord Silverstreak virtually the same thing but 15cm shorter will that make much of a difference in the set up?

Why not just order a length of cord and tie your own. Its alot cheaper and you get the right length for your climbing style.

yeah id just get the beeline cord and work out what length your happy with first
