one thing to watch out for after I found out the hard way was with using a hedge trimmer modified like this. the head can be angled in different direction watch that the spring holding it in place does not brake or that if holding the pole you pull down the black leaver. the spring holding ours there broke on one job and it ended up flipping down whilst still on landing on my back and then idled as it was in a new position hedtrimming my back it was a tad painfull but i only came alway with one cool looking blood blister a burn from the hot cutters and one nip of flesh but it did hurt so just be careful as its now closer to you hands arm body and was not designed like this.

The EasyLift ones look good - must give one a go one day. Not sure if I'd get along with it. Can't get on with the Stihl one at all as the support end is too close in and there's not enough freedom of movement. I need to be able to move my back and shoulders about and would rather have all the weight on my arms.

If I forgot to put it on board at the yard and the job that day was more than 20 minutes of hedge cutting then Id turn the truck round to pick it up even if it made me late.

I can hold the throttle open at any angle and keep cutting until the fuel runs out without getting tired, tank after tank :001_smile:

Ped Im in West Sussex if you fancy having ago ill pop over in exchange for a bacon sandwich :driver::eating:
