On the XP, the XPG has heated handles and the XP doesn't so I am thinking the SE is standard and the SG is the heated handle version but don't know for sure.

i was thinking along the lines of xp and xpw

Pretty sure I am right after looking at a couple if IPLs, the SE and SG terms were used before Husqvarna started using XP for Xpert or Xtra power whichever takes your fancy with XPG being the heated handle version.

SE is the older denomination used for pro saws before being switched to using xp eg you had a 154se this then became a 254xp! the G always denotes heated handles so SG or XPG will have heated handles on them.

Ahh right well i have a 154se that's why i wanted to know the difference i will get that 254xp to go with the 262xp though one day!
