Fir tree roots ?

Hi all , I need a bit of advice on tree roots . It's a fir tree

The Fir tree in question is about 6 feet from the house and is about 25 feet high

The roots are pushing up a paving stone .

 

I know fir tree roots are quite shallow . Will the tree roots affect the foundations of the house . ? If the tree was to be reduced will that stop the root system spreading any further ?

I doubt it will affect the house. The roots will lift the slabs bot not the house bricks.

you could always root prune the tree house side
