Amazing (guess the age)

Here are a few pics of the fossil grove just down from my house. These beauties were here long before man and will be here long after we are gone. See if you can guess the age (please dont cheat by checking on the internet).

probably similar age to coal, carboniferous, 300 odd million yrs?

Interesting how they seem to have a flat cut on top...pyroclastic flow or similar perhaps?

The guy at the fossil grove said that they would have died due to a flood. So im guessing the flat tops are due to the water level.

The second photo must be the very first example of a step cut! Good to know prehistoric man were doing there cuts right! At a guess. . . 250m yrs. But i dont have a scooby.
