Some will get split up for fencing, the better stuff will go through the mizer and I'll make benches, the rest for firewood. Access is very good, it's a country park so all hard roads and tracks. They also may buy some back off me as product(tree guards, stakes etc) so I'd like to get it, but not if I'll regret paying over the odds. I don't need it as I've arranged to cut for the forestry, it's only round the corner which would be nice. hmmmm.

Are wood prices top secret. ???

milk, pork or wheat, you can look up in farmers weekly, search on interweb.

however the price of roundwood,or thinings seems to be top secret, even on this forum.

i thought we came from all over the place/background.

a lot of the members will not declare where they originate on their avatars so, not too surprising really ??!!!:confused1:

these used to list the results of the past timber auctions, have a look.

work out the price backwards.

delivered in cost.

less delivery,

less extraction,

less felling,

less marking and sale fees

= price you offer.

remember:

if a man asks for £100, he really wants £90, he will take £ 80, so offer him £70 and give him £60, and make him glad its not £50
