Rather than snatching the line towards your chest which is common in a Vt and micro pulley set up you need to feed the rope into the spiderjack a short bridge with long straights pulls will make it self tend a dream,thin rope is the way forward makes it work even better keeping the weight in the harness aswell rather than standing up on a limb then taking in slack as you go get the spiderjack to help pull you along.

Exactly what Ewan said about drawing your rope"Through" the s.j with long straight pulls...sounds like you have your spiderjack technique down to a fine art to Ewan. I bought my Blue tongue after speaking to an Aussi climber..it,s a popular competition rope.

I love my spiderJack i have worn the body out already though, so I'm waiting for a replacement to arrive, i went back to the hitchclimber and I much prefer the Sj.

 

Oh how have you worn out the body so quickly?
