You already answered the question ! make a note of the original filter number then before the next service contact some local suppliers and get the numbers of Crossland and Cooper filters of the correct type, make a note of those numbers, then armed with that info you should never have to waste time again !! Crossland and Cooper are about the most common so with those numbers you should have no further problems ?

I've just had a nightmare 2 days trying to find an hydraulic filter for the thor 20t logsplitter, it's a right oddball because it's on the suction side, 125 micron 1" 14 head stud and an extra long cartridge.

I ended up at a Hydraulics suppliers and well known company that supply hydraulic components to the trade. The guy there reeled it off the top of his head and phoned round for me.

No-one had one in stock and he said it was an unusual filter so has sold me a complete new head and filter so I shouldn't have problems in future.

I emailed the suppliers of the splitter who said they had a filter in stock, but to be honest, i'd rather be able to just go out and get a filter anywhere rather than have my hands tied behind my back and have to go to the suppliers

So Thor..... sort out your filters on your splitters to a common size
