3 years on - RIKO A11 still perfect...

Recommended Posts

I have the same machine, and its done me proud! had a slight problem with a cracked ram, but was replaced free of charge, and the only thing I would like is ,bigger wheels , and faster ram speed, it currently splits 1m3 in about 40 mins! depending on size of rings. very reliable splitter, mine has done over 600 m3

I had a cracked ram on mine to, i stupidly took it to my local agricultural engineer , who did sort it after a couple of attempts. didn't even think of contacting riko. I don't know what they would have done as i live miles away.

often the ram won't rise back up as the thin bit of plate attached to the chain gets stuck on top of one of the allen key bolts, caused by the chain being twisted too much one way or the other.

my table is a bit bent now too

The Thor mignon has bigger wheels and is about the same sort of machine.

I've got a 9 hp Thor magic and it's 1/3 of a tonne with big wheels but quite hard to move about as well. Much faster ram speed than the mignon and the a11 though but a few hundred quid more. Really pleased with it. You really don't need to tie up a tractor with this sort of machine available.
