Any body got any idea what 1m3 of green poplar would weigh in it's solid form ?

 

Trying to convert 3m into tonnage.

I thought if any one could work that out it would be you.. How many m3 do you get in one of your arctics? They were 27-30 tons can't you work it out from that?

 

Lol roughly Ben thinking of your job it works out at 1.1 tonnes per m3

 

Was wondering if there were any timber guru's lurking. One of my clients has 360m3 of standing poplar, it's rare we have volumes measured just wondered what it equated to in tonnage.......

according to the FC booklet 39 (forest mensuration)

 

poplar:

 

 

basic density. .36 ( t/m3) dry

moisture content 150% ( of dry weight)

vol/weight ratio 1.11 (m3/tonne)

density .90 (grams/cc)
