log bulk bag prices

What should i be selling an 85x85x85 bulk bag of hardwood logs for ,i have dried them in a container down to 20% moisture( after tips from some of you guys ) and am close to a firewood company and another stove company selling bulk logs for around £150 a bag they are not 1m3 bags or at least don't look like it so some advice please as i am just starting up part time in this business.

Ring your competitors as a potential customer, even better go and see them and look at what they are selling and for how much, check on delivery costs etc.

 

Good logs are of a consistant length and split, nothing much above 4 inch diameter and or course dry. I am selling 18%-19% hard at £100 a cube + VAT delivered in 1 cu m bags. You have just over .6 of a cu m so you may need to adjust accordingly. I would find it surprising if £150 a cube was the going rate.

 

Bear in mind though that small bags means limited returns, you may be better getting into bigger bags. A 5kw stove will go through a cube in a month.
