Over shadowed Sorbus

Question

Posted

I have Sorbus Aria Lutescens, about 12 years old. Due to woods close by it tends to grow lopsided towards the light.

It is beautiful tree and i would like to maintain shape and balance, any pruning tips:confused1:

Its called phototropism and theres not much you can do about that i'm afraid.....but as to pruning, some pictures would help

Thanks, No photos, But I wondered if light heading back on sparce side would promote more growth to compensate?

Many thanks anyway

Sorry. I meant tipping or light pruning on the side that has less growth, to promote more growth and thus balancing the tree more.
