  1. Thanks Steve, I'll be in touch in about 5 years and let you know how I got on!!
  2. Sorry. I meant tipping or light pruning on the side that has less growth, to promote more growth and thus balancing the tree more.
  3. Thanks, No photos, But I wondered if light heading back on sparce side would promote more growth to compensate? Many thanks anyway
  4. I have Sorbus Aria Lutescens, about 12 years old. Due to woods close by it tends to grow lopsided towards the light. It is beautiful tree and i would like to maintain shape and balance, any pruning tips:confused1:

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.
