Were can i buy some wood from?

I am looking at starting to do fire wood. I have already got people after logs but i just dont have any wood at the momment. does anyone know where i can buy wood from in the suffolk area, bury st. edmunds. cheers Jay

Afraid you may be a bit late this season, and it is in short supply. You could try calling companies like R Wilden, but tbh I doubt they'd have much now. They tend to stick with the more established firewood merchants, who they have dealt with for years. some estates may sell you some in cord length, epect to pay around 30 quid a tonne, plus delivery and vat of course

I spoke to Lee Lightburn (Lakes lumber) today and he said people are paying £45 per ton delivered + vat (hardwood), if they can get it. Others are being told they can get it, but there's a 3 month lead time:scared1:.

Sorry but it doesn't look like there's much by way of good news for sourcing firewood.:sad:

Evening all. I've already thought where to get wood from if i clear out the yard. Don't think it's worth it, just make sure there's more work next year. If you buy it in surely the profit will be marginal?

Wood sales are really on the up for me, it's the only thing keeping me enthusiastic as other work is way down.
