Rope good for Loopies?

yeah i use Loopies for most of my rigging. and make my own out of Tenex, but was wondering would "branch Saver" be any good? be great to hear thoughts on it, good and bad?

 

i mean its around 4.5tons, UV resistant, 240c melting point, super easy to splice and very very cheap. actually just read that tenex is cheaper, but never the less what you think?

If thats the yale stuff my friend, (onelab on here) uses it for a light rigging sling for the occasional branch during pruning or to redirect the rigging line for smaller bits.

It was an off cut he had thats all not big enough to do anything massive i think

please, where can i buy Tenex cheper then "branch saver"? In Czech are Tenex 4,70 euro and Gemini 4t (produce Gleistein, i think similary as your "BS") 2,60 euro.

Doesn't double braid require both the core and cover to give it it's strength?

 

A loopie is a closed ring and has the same principle as the whoopie sling.

Yeah, so taking the core out will significantly reduce the strength of the rope.

Hmm double braid for loopies/whoopies dunno how that works......and why you bother as tenex or any hollow braid is easier.

 

if you google loopies, i am sure you will find them. if not i can post a pic up on here. best things to use i reckon for rigging. Like Whoopies but better and stronger, and in my opinion easier to do.
