As always fascinating to see your work shots Willem.

 

Lifting frames/slings?..assuming they did not have go too far on those trucks or you would have lost most of the soil around the roots, and you would have wrapped them.

The preparation was started one year before transplant. Aftercare will take another 3 years.

 

Was the preparation below ground or above? and what did you do?, its good to hear about stuff like this, was it Civic who moved them?

A long way IMO...over here you'd burn more than 20K just on the craneage and trucks.

 

Hi mate, thats 20k per tree, things here in the UK are not so good at the mo.:001_cool:

Also going by the stem diam of those trees and the wast of those drivers ie 36" those trees are not so big, i have seen bigger moved.
