I've done a bit to them in the past,to be honest Its not the best tractor Massey have built, they give a bit of trouble. The hand brake is internal and will most probably be knackered, brake band wears out if I remember rightly(been a few years since had one apart) it can be adjusted through a access plug in the left hand side of the transmission but don't drop the socket in the gear box! What you planing on using it for?

It'l be fine for that. Sorry if my first post sounded a bit negative. Trouble with my line of work is I only see machines when they're broken. Feel free to ask if you need to know any thing, been I while since I touched one but I'l try me best.

MF390 or similar, but might cost you a bit more if you want a loader aswell?? As a few others have added the 3000 series masseys have a few issues..... but it's all irrelevant if you only do 200hrs a year and the price is right.
