anyone selling lowering rope

how do people, I'm in need of some lowering rope i don't want to buy brand new stuff as i will only be using it for to practise with so a good used one will do fine

 

so if anyone has some then please drop me a message, looking for about 40m but non of the bull rope shite that's on ebay. cheers :001_smile:

what sort of weights will you be lowering? 11mm marlow takes a fair trashing.

 

I'm not a 100% sure on what weights i will be lowering, but i think they will be around the 100kg mark

 

16mm Marlowe Bull rope is good stuff, not shite.

It's also not expensive so you may as well get a new one then you'll always know its history.

 

I'll have a look at that cheers, I'm just going by what people have told me about the bull rope, but the rope on ebay is £45 for 50m so it cant be very good for that price

In my old local pub chugging was something you did want to see! It involved beer and agricultural students with their pants down!

 

Anyway, how can you practice rigging without actually rigging? If your new to rigging and just want to practice then any old bit of climbing rope will do, doesnt need to be a bull rope or specific rigging line. Just use it well within its limits, 100kgs is actually quite alot for practing, thats a whole 15stone person! Keep it much smaller.
