We,ve had it with our last two 4x4's. firstly Trooper then our Defender Td5 which only had 30'000 on the clock when it went. The old Rover Freight sherpa vans used to do it frequently. 5th gear stall is the job, but the smell of burnt smokentakes weeks to go away.

What is a 12J and a 19J?

Well lost!

The 19J was the engine they used before the one in the film clip - 2.5 l turbo. Not very good.

The 12J was the one before that - 2.5 l, no turbo. no guts, but bullet proof.

It's features like this that make Landies so lovable and unique.

My perverse side wants to see the next instalment of that video.

Almost as good as the brick in the washing machine.
