Police have now said that there are no known blaggers that drive a green Saxo.Hopefully some of my gear may turn up in the next week or 2 at a sale or car boot and I best keep my eyes open. They are about as much use as choc firegaurd.

Nearly a year ago I created a thread about protection of kit from theft. Now I think that was a good idea at the time, however I discovered that I should of posted this thread on the members only forum. Reason being the general forum is for the members and the rest of the world to read. Now some may think that it be far fetched to believe that the very thiefs that are stealing and getting away with these crimes are reviewing their progress on a daily basis. I DO NOT. I believe all future postings for stolen items should be in the members only forum. It seems to me that the shear volume of items stolen on a daily basis warrants all gear to be stored in doors where you live. Along with any means of protecting said property including hoody wearing watch dogs, sorry jammy, clubs, whips or other means of deterrent. Fellow members, remember that your equipment that you depend on every day for work must be guarded and protected at all times. If the existing laws in your country protect the theives more than the victims, don't give the crooks any chances or breaks. Be as proactive and than some as possible.

My rant is over, I am going to work.

i had all mine stolen a few weeks ago . got a picture of the guys face on camera going into my yard, got a picture of him leaving my yard with the saws , but because he had his back to the camera with the saws the police wouldnt nick him.they said they needed to see his face on the camera with the saws. .. our legal system sucks.

just read this too my dad, he's a trained magistrate, he said that this should be enough information to prosecute! their may be other variable's at play but are you sure the police arnt pulling a fast one here? it may sound abit like something off the wire but if it was part of a big operation their may be bribes and string pulling going on? i may just be paranoid but ive been told on numerous occasions that all the police in my area are on a payrole, it was probably just drunken bravado but they do say theirs no smoke without fire!

any way just food for thought!

hope all kit comes home safe and sound!!

I'm a new member and have a police background and it's sad to read this. Of course they could have nicked him, there was reasonable suspicion. Problem is that police person was ducking the issue, either lazy or incompetent. I bet the local CID Chief would not be impressed. He probably knows nothing about it.
