this is one way to retrieve it, just like retrieveing a natural redirect. you can also clip a keychain biner or rope guide trap thingy to pull it out when you pull out your whole line.

 

You can do the same thing with a strap and two biners, but two biners seem to get stuck easier and I really like soft links.

Nice one Kevin, I like the whole 'soft shackle' idea. I have to give it a go with some old hollow braid.

Got anything les bulky than those leather sleeves??

Whats that stiff teather your using for the RW? (apologies for the derail).

Yep! The leather isnt too bulky, i think the photo makes it look more so. I stuck some plastic into the sleeves, i was hoping you could retrieve with everything left on the line, you can sometimes, but pretty risky! Not worth it. The tether is aluminum that i drilled holes into. I picked up the aluminum at the hardware store.
