Just watched the first bit, its so gay!! And Kelly mcgillis is so munted! Not as bad as the girl they got in Highlander but nearly!

most 80s films were pure cheese,but hey thats what it was all about!

but at the time did we think they were awesome,yes we did:lol:

 

you see some of them these days and just cringe at how bad the acting and actors were.

Also, heard a rumour that top gun is being re released in 3D.

i cleared out all my dvds to slowly start replacing with blu-ray and then they bring out 3D:blushing:

No, dont do that!!! I think DVD is a perfectly good medium for film. In a way there is no need to ever go to blu ray, and definatly not 3D!!

 

Having said that I dont like being left behind, so I have a blue ray player (I already had an HD projector) and I have some films in blu ray (inc. Top Gun, Point Break of course) some are essential in blu ray (avatar, new star trek etc) but films in DVD are just as good, and in a way some films are better not being too clean looking.

 

Girl With dragon: just bought that on DVD and its not worth having on BR IMO. Also there are some bargains on DVD, about £3 on amazon, which is cheaper than my rental shop (whats left of it) and I dont want to subscribe to any monthly madness as I go through stages of not watching anything (its called summer).

no not in the bin,too much spent!

i have avatar on blu-ray (awesome),inception,shutter island,despicable me (for the kids) etc

just when i buy new i always go for blu-ray now,the picture is far superior:thumbup:

i used to go shopping with the wife and see films for £3 not the best in the world but only bought because they were £3

out of all the films i went through i wrote down the one i want to replace with blu-ray
